Governor Tim Walz Needs to be Honest with Minnesotans with a Growing Autism Behavioral Provider Scandal

Raids conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on two Autism centers in the North Star State show Gov. Walz cannot be trusted to lead Minnesotans. 

1. PAUL, MINN. –KARE-TV 11 of Minneapolisfirst reported on December 12, 2024 that the  FBI conducted raids on two Autism centers in Minneapolis and St. Cloud, Minnesota.  Americans for Autism Advocacy issues the following comment regarding this major development of an alleged fraud investigation:

“Governor Tim Walz has a growing problem on his hands relating to improper federal medical assistance payments for applied behavioral analysis services. One month before Governor Walz decided to become Madam Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate in the 2024 U.S. presidential election, both federal and state investigators were intensifying their investigation into the improper payments. Governor Walz owes every Minnesotan a serious explanation as to why his administration is grossly mismanaging federal health benefit dollars, especially to help low-income Minnesotans getting proven treatment for their neurodiverse children.  Come January 2025, the Minnesota Legislature must fulfill its oversight duty to provide every Minnesotan with answers as to why their hard-earned taxpayer dollars are again being wasted.”
