Americans for Autism Advocacy Statement on U.S. House Passage of the Autism CARES Act of 2024
09.19.2024
ALEXANDRIA, VA – Americans for Autism Advocacy issues the following statement in response to the U.S. House of Representatives passing the Autism CARES Act of 2024 in overwhelmingly bipartisan fashion on September 18, 2024:
“The U.S. House of Representatives put partisanship aside in a show to all Americans that funding Autism research is still a priority. Not all funding bills are perfect, but the U.S. House’s passage of the Autism CARES Act of 2024 is a major step forward in funding Autism research in the United States. Americans for Autism Advocacy urges the United States Senate to swiftly act on the Autism CARES Act of 2024 without delay. We urge all Americans who want improved Autism research to contact their U.S. Senators and tell them to vote yes on the Autism CARES Act of 2024.”
