Americans for Autism Advocacy Applauds U.S. Senate’s Passage of the Autism CARES Act in Lame Duck Session
12.06.2024
ALEXANDRIA, VA – Americans for Autism Advocacy issues the following comment in response to the United States Senate passing the Autism CARES Act on November 21st:
“The United States Senate put partisanship aside to send a message that funding tomorrow’s Autism research today will ensure neurodiverse Americans can live a life with fuller potential. The unanimous voice vote rendered by the U.S. Senate shows that all Americans want better outcomes for all neurodiverse Americans and their families. Although no bipartisan funding bill is perfect, the Autism CARES Act will move our nation in the right direction. We urge outgoing President Biden to sign the bill into law before his term ends on January 20, 2025.”
